Cursillo

Cursillo (cur See yo) is a Lay Catholic movement. It’s about friends helping friends grow in Christ and shared Christian values in our challenging world. Cursillo began in Spain, on the island of Mallorca, in the 1940’s and has spread to countries throughout the world. The Cursillo charism is rooted in an understanding that God, in Christ, loves us deeply just as we are. Through the Cursillo Movement we encounter Christ in the lives we live every day, and, especially, through friendship and community.
Cursillo is an opportunity for Catholics to share and grow in their faith in a small group setting. Involvement in Cursillo usually (but not necessarily) begins with a 3-day retreat, and continues throughout your life through involvement in a Group Reunion. Visit the Cursillo website for more information.
If you are already a Cursillista or want to learn what it’s all about, Good Shepherd has options for Men’s and Women’s Small Groups:
- Women: Friday mornings at 10am in Classroom 1
- Women: Saturday mornings at 8am in Classroom 12
- Men: Contact office@gs-cc.org for available groups and meeting locations.
