“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, Paragraph 1601)
Schedule a Wedding
Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! To begin your wedding planning process, please contact Joan Sheppard 9 – 12 months in advance, to allow sufficient time to secure your preferred date and for adequate planning.
Marriage Preparation
Marriage preparation takes a minimum of 6 months and includes:
- An intake session (wedding guidelines will be received)
- Meetings with a deacon or priest
- FOCCUS premarital inventory
- Weekend Engaged Encounter or Conference for the Engaged
- Sessions with a deacon or parish sponsor couple
- Time to plan your wedding liturgy
