School Supply Drive
July 3 – August 2
Good Shepherd Housing, the Mother of Light Center, and United Community are collecting NEW backpacks and school supplies for the 2026-2027 school year.
Please bring your donations to the special bin for school supplies donations. Thank you for your support of students in our community! Full list of needs:
Writing Tools
- #2 Pencils (sharpened)
- Mechanical pencils with lead
- Pencil/Crayon sharpeners with covers
- Pens (blue, black, red, and green)
- Crayola Crayons (24 count)
- Crayola Colored Pencils (12 count)
- Zippered Pencil Pouches
- Pink Bar Erasers
- Dry Erase Marker packs (chisel tips)
- Yellow Highlighters
Paper and Notebooks
- Marbleized Composition Notebooks (wide and college ruled)
- Spiral Notebooks (wide-ruled, 70 page)
- Pocket folders
- Post It-Notes
Other Supplies
- New Backpacks (no wheels)
- Scissors (5″ blunt)
- Glue (dry clear)
- Rulers (with inches and centimeters)
Good Shepherd hosts annual drives including: the Mother’s Day Cradle Project (May), the School Supply Drive (August), and the Giving Tree (December). Donations go to our local non-profit community partners to serve those in need. Volunteers promote the drives and deliver donations to the different non-profits.
