Thanksgiving Food Drive
October 20 – November 17
Donated Thanksgiving food items will be shared with United Community and the St. Lucy Project to help families in our community and diocese enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
Most-needed items:
- canned corn
- fruit cocktail
- green beans
- peas
- cranberry sauce
- baking mixes
- gravy (no glass)
- macaroni and cheese
- mashed potato mix
- stuffing
We will also accept $25 grocery store cards to help families buy a turkey and other perishables. Please bring donations to the special bin in the commons and the gift cards to the office.
Note: our regular Sharing Sunday collection continues. We especially need rice, beans, and cooking oil.

Sock Drive and Blessing Bag Collection
Through November 24
We are collecting new socks (men and women) and food for blessing bags to share with the homeless community during the winter. Blessing Bag items include:
- soft breakfast bars
- fruit cups or pouches (no added sugar)
- dried fruit
- packs of crackers
- pop top or easy open protein items (tuna, chicken, etc)
- protein drinks
Please bring donations to the specially marked bin in the commons.
Good Shepherd hosts annual drives including: the Mother’s Day Cradle Project (May), the School Supply Drive (August), and the Giving Tree (December). Donations go to our local non-profit community partners to serve those in need. Volunteers promote the drives and deliver donations to the different non-profits.
