Marriage
“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, Paragraph 1601)
Schedule a Wedding
Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! To begin your wedding planning process, please contact Rosemarie Spollen 9 – 12 months in advance, to allow sufficient time to secure your preferred date and for adequate planning. We are unable to schedule weddings more than 12 months in advance.
Marriage Preparation
Marriage preparation takes a minimum of 6 months and includes:
- An intake session (wedding guidelines will be received)
- Meetings with a deacon or priest
- FOCCUS premarital inventory
- Weekend Engaged Encounter or Conference for the Engaged
- Sessions with a deacon or parish sponsor couple
- Time to plan your wedding liturgy
