Festival Logo Competition

This upcoming Labor Day weekend, Good Shepherd will host the 50th International Festival! To celebrate this exciting anniversary, we are launching a competition for the design of this year’s festival logo. Entries will be accepted through Monday, May 26. Please read the design guidelines and contest rules below. Designs that do not meet the requirements will not be considered. Questions and submissions can be sent to bulletin@gs-cc.org.

Design Guidelines

  • As this is an anniversary logo, please incorporate “50” and “International Festival” somewhere within the design.
  • Please use color! There is no specific color limit, but very detailed/complicated logos will not print well.
  • Do not use photos of people.
  • The logo will be used in small-scale printings (bulletin/social media) as well as large-scale printings (posters/banners). Please ensure the logo would work in both settings.
  • The design must be original in nature. Platforms like Canva may be used, but the design components must be sufficiently manipulated to be considered “standalone” work. Elements within the design must be allowed to be licensed for print-on-demand (POD) services. More details on this can be found here.
  • Designs must be submitted as a high-quality jpg or png. The winner will be required to share original working file with Good Shepherd.

Competition Rules

  • Entries must be emailed to bulletin@gs-cc.org by 11:59pm on Monday, May 26. Any entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.
  • The contest is open to all registered Good Shepherd parishioners. Entries from participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by written permission from a parent or guardian.
  • One submission is allowed per person. However, if you want to submit the same design with a few different color scheme options, that is allowed.
  • As stated above, the winner will be required to share the working file of their logo. Good Shepherd will have the right to modify and use the logo in all forms of publishing.
  • The winner will be chosen internally, and the decision will be final.
  • The winner will be notified via email, and will be acknowledged in the bulletin, website, and social media.
