Thanks to lots of hard work (and prayer!) we were able to meet the deadline to move back in the church before Labor Day Weekend! We are grateful to have reached this milestone! We are happy to unveil new lighting, plus these enhancements:
new top on the Baptismal font;
re-furbished tabernacle on a new display shelf;
new shelf and lighting for the Holy Family statue, with
votive candles (for prayer intentions and devotion).
Please continue your prayers (and patience!) as the project continues. Adjustments will be made to the lighting panels, and work will be completed as we await delivery of some additional parts and their installation. Check back here for updates and pictures in the coming weeks.
And, as always, thank you for your prayers and patience!
Our contractors project we will be back in the church for the 9am daily Mass, Thursday, August 31! We are grateful for the efforts of our contractor to make sure we are able to move in by the end of August. EC Ernst has increased manpower on the job (additional crews and longer shifts) as well as bringing in additional equipment. Thank you for your prayers for the crew members working on our site!
The good news is that the original schedule for the International Festival will not be impacted: the 5K Race, the Yard Sale, the multi-cultural Mass, and the Festival Day will proceed as scheduled. For details about other parish activities and events, please check our Web site, including the Calendar link, for any updates or changes during the next few weeks. We are grateful for the continued patience, flexibility and cooperative spirit exhibited by GS parishioners and staff during this process. Thank you! We look forward to enjoying a warm, welcoming and light-filled space to pray, worship, and celebrate our faith. Thank you for your prayers and patience!

Patience and Diligence also remove 200 light fixtures and hundreds of yards of old wiring! The contractors are making steady progress on this extensive project. Every single light fixture has been successfully removed, and the work of replacing all the wiring is well underway. As new wiring is installed, it is being connected to existing control panels. Future work includes installing all the new light fixtures (including connecting to wiring) plus installing and connecting a new dimming panel.
As always, thank you for your prayers and patience! Thanks to the cooperation and flexibility of parishioners and staff, we are able to continue the work of the parish, which this week included: three funerals, one wedding, hosting 27 teens for Middle School WorkCamp, registering families for Religious Education, fulfilling requests for Sacramental verification, helping families in need, and much more!
With patience, diligence AND faith, we look forward to the completion of the lighting project by the end of summer!
We are undertaking an extensive project to renovate the lighting in the main Worship Space. All fixtures will be replaced, and new wiring will be installed. We are looking forward to more energy-efficient and effective lighting!
