Changes Next year to Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
CLOW is an age-appropriate Liturgy of the Word offered for school-age children (Grades K-6) at the 9:00 am Mass. Next year we will be offering CLOW at both the 9:00 and 10:30 Masses. We will also require families pre-register their children to participate in CLOW next year. You can do that now on our website – here! Please prayerfully consider how you can volunteer with CLOW. Check the website for future announcements on other changes.
Potomac River Cleanup
Saturday, April 8, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Dyke Marsh and Belle Haven Picnic Area
Join our parish as we care for God’s Creation by participating in the 29th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup. Last year we had a large group of parishioners, particularly teens, participate in this great service opportunity. You are invited to meet us at Good Shepherd at 8:30 am to carpool to the Dyke Marsh/Belle Haven Picnic area or meet us there at 9:00. Bags and gloves will be provided. Wear old clothes and waterproof shoes or shoes that can get wet. Please RSVP so we can get a headcount.
Help feed the hungry every first Thursday (4/6, 5/4, 6/1, etc) at Christ House Shelter in Old Town Alexandria. We need TIME, TALENT and TREASURE for this fulfilling volunteer opportunity.
- FLEXIBLE VOLUNTEER ACTIVITY We are looking for volunteers to donate ingredients for our new healthy meal, Turkey Skillet with Vegetables and Brown Rice accompanied by Fruit Salad. We plan to serve 50-70 each month. Best part is that donations can be prepared and dropped off.
Please send any questions to email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org or sign up here!
