Frequently Asked Questions About Confirmation

Q: When can we begin doing our service hours?

A: As soon as possible.  Actually, the earlier, the better.  Just make sure you properly document all of the service that you do using our Confirmation Service Hours form.

Q: My teen goes to Catholic school but wants to be Confirmed at Good Shepherd, where we go to church.  Is that possible?

A: Absolutely.  Since Catholic schools provide comparable faith formation, your teen's Junior High RE class requirement will be waived.  However you will still need to contact the parish office when your teen begins 8th grade in order to enroll in our Confirmation program.  Your teen will also need to fulfill all of the other Confirmation requirements.

Q: What is the dress code for Confirmation?

A: ~Boys should wear dress pants and a collared shirt
    ~Girls should wear dressy attire
~DO NOT WEAR: jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip flops
~Dress should be modest: no ripped clothing, no bare midriffs, no low cut tops
    ~Cultural traditions are encouraged
