Good Shepherd Youth Ministry adopted the stretch of Mount Vernon Highway from in front of the church down to the George Washington Parkway. Several times a year we clean the roadside in an effort to be good stewards of our community and of the planet that God entrusted us with. Contact Kat for more information.

Training is provided. Servers are scheduled approximately once a month. More information available by reading the Altar Server Q&As. For more information or to sign up, contact Jean.
Lectors (Readers at Masses): Jay Hyland, Coordinator
(703) 704-5285 ~ jjhyland@cox.net
At Mass Jesus is present in the Word (Scripture) and the Eucharist.
Lectors proclaim the first and second Scripture readings at all weekend and Holy Day Masses. To prepare a parishioner to be a lector, the parish requires that lector candidates attend six hours of training to teach the necessary public speaking skills and to make them comfortable proclaiming the Word. Lectors benefit from a deepening of their faith, from serving the parish community, and from improving their public speaking skills. If you have any questions about becoming a lector or would like to sign up, please contact Jay.
