Indulge and celebrate with over 4,000 attendees during Good Shepherd's 36th annual International Festival on Monday September 5. This is your chance to sing, dance, eat, shop, and (dare we say) gamble, all in the name of helping people in need.
This multicultural festival features ethnic foods & drinks, live entertainment, children's games, White Elephant (a huge indoor yard sale), Artisan Row, bingo, and a Raffle with a grand prize of $10,000 cash. The White Elephant offers an early bird sale at 11:00 am. The festival starts promptly at 12:00 pm and continues through 6:00 pm.
The proceeds of the festival benefit the Shepherd's Gate grant program which last year distributed $42,500 to non-profit organizations that protect the battered, feed the hungry, house the homeless, and assist the poor and disenfranchised.
The festival is held both indoors and outdoors on the grounds of Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 8710 Mt. Vernon Highway. Shuttle service is provided from parking at Mount Vernon High School. All are welcome to attend, celebrate, and ultimately assist folks in need.
Please contact the festival chairperson, Joshe Raetz at raetzj@cox.net or (703) 922-1743 with your suggestions, comments, or interest in sponsoring or volunteering.
