Be: An AFF Committee Member!

OUR MISSION:  To plan and coordinate speaker series, days of reflection, retreats, and other events to help adults learn and deepen their spiritual lives.  We work together as a team to create a wide variety of learning experiences so that each parishioner finds something that is right for them, to help them grow closer to God and live their Catholic faith more fully in their daily lives.

WHY WE DO IT:  To create an excellent environment at Good Shepherd for ongoing faith development, engaging issues that are relevant and important for living as a Catholic in the modern world.  Serving on the Adult Faith Formation Committee is a way to serve others, but also a way to strengthen our own personal faith.  We are not “experts,” just a group of ordinary parishioners who are excited about deepening our spiritual lives.  If you are an adult who cares about learning about and strengthening your faith, this ministry may be right for you!

WHEN WE DO IT The time commitment is just one Tuesday evening a month!  The Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month, in addition to two afternoon Retreats throughout the year.

INTERESTED?  Contact Cynthia Drury at 703-780-4055 or cynthia@gs-cc.org to learn more about being a Committee member and to sign up to get involved!

*note:  if you are interested in helping with Adult Faith Formation, but are unable to attend Committee Meetings, please contact us about several Coordinator positions which do not require attendance at our monthly meetings!
